How does an NBA Hall of Fame induction and an NFL  limited partnership in the same year sound? For Vince Carter, it’s all part of his 2024 highlight reel.

This past October, “Vinsanity” reached the pinnacle of individual NBA awards, being inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Carter chose to enter the ‘24 Hall of Fame class as a Toronto Raptor. Of his 22 total seasons, he spent the first six-and-a-half with Toronto — the franchise that drafted him.

Now, just three months later, Carter joins the Buffalo BIlls, as a limited partner of the franchise.

The UNC basketball legend is also teaming up with his cousin and fellow NBA Hall of Famer Tracey McGrady, who’s another new limited partner of the Bills.

Rob Maaddi — senior NFL writer for The Associated Press — wrote about Carter and McGrady taking on their new role in the NFL and why this partnership makes sense for the Bills.

“Carter and McGrady’s connections to Toronto — both played for the NBA Raptors — are considered advantages because of their potential to help the small-market team generate further interest in Canada’s largest city, located about a two-hour drive from Buffalo. Toronto is considered part of the Bills’ marketing region, with southern Ontario residents representing more than 15% of the team’s season-ticket base.”

Clearly, these two outgoing NBA Hall of Famers will create some serious pull for the “Bills Mafia,” as well as reach new targeted audiences and expand the fan base. This seems like a dream partnership for all parties involved.

Carter and McGrady also walk into a very favorable situation. With the Bills already clinching the AFC East, they’ve won five division titles in a row. They’ve also had a winning record for six straight seasons. With a die-hard, passionate fan base and an MVP-candidate in Josh Allen at quarterback, the future is bright for the Bills.

Whether it’s high-flying above the rim as the greatest dunker of all time, breaking down the game as a studio analyst, or partnering up with the Bills, we’ve seen Carter do it all.

He truly is “Half Man, Half Amazing.”
