The Bill Belichick era has begun with a whirlwind of commitments, visits, and transfer rumors- all to be expected when you hire the greatest NFL football coach of all time.

The UNC football program has quickly begun rejuvenating the team on the defensive side of the ball, where it desperately needs talent and depth. Belichick has already secured a commitment from Delaware defensive lineman transfer Melkart Abou Jaoude and has secured visits from top transfer prospects like Texas linebacker Deiron Gullette.

With Kaimon Rucker out of the picture, there’s a massive void regarding defensive production, and Belichick and the coaching staff are searching for answers. They’ll have a chance to land a player to help replace that production when former Washington linebacker Khmori House visits Chapel Hill this weekend.

After entering the portal, the six-foot 200-pound freshman chose North Carolina to be his first official visit. House has also quickly received offers from schools like Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma, UCLA and USC.

247sports has House listed as a four-star transfer, and the No. 2 ranked linebacker transfer in the nation. House had an impressive debut season with the Huskies, recording 33 total tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in just nine appearances.

With reports that House would be a huge loss for the Washington football program, it’s easy to believe that this would be a huge pickup for North Carolina.
