The UNC basketball program's RJ Davis is now a part of a new NIL agency, Momentous Sports Partners, alongside Hunter Dickinson of Kansas, Jeremy Roach of Baylor as well as Johni Broome of Auburn.

Momentous Sports Partners target the guys in college basketball who are looking to stay for more than just one year, unlike the typical one-and-done kind of players who launch themselves into the NBA almost a year after stepping on campus.

Fortunately, with the work of Joey Pennavaria and Daniel Hennes — they have provided an opportunity to reward those who choose to extend their stay in college.

Who doesn't embrace money?

As National News Desk Writer Nick Schultz of On3 wrote:

“We want to be somewhat complementary, but also not even necessarily recruiting the same guys as the top NBA agencies,” Pennavaria told On3 in an interview. “Those guys are gonna go after the Cooper Flaggs, the guys that are for-sure one-and-dones. Those were the guys we wanted to recruit.

But there’s so many more athletes now in college basketball that need representation because they’re professionals, as well, and can make really good money – life-changing money. They’re not NBA deals or NBA-sized deals, but there’s so many of these guys that need this help. That’s the white space that we saw.”

Interestingly enough but to no surprise, former big man and UNC basketball program's all-time leading rebounder, Armando Bacot, helped kickstart Momentous agency — courtesy of its Final Four run back in 2022.

"Bacot’s profile took off on the NIL front, landing deals with companies such as RITZ Crackers, Topps, Intuit TurboTax and Wingstop. As he navigated the landscape, Hennes served as a guide, and Bacot later helped lead him to Davis, Dickinson and Roach."

The Richmond, Virginia native who's now playing in the G League for the Memphis Hustle collected NIL deals left and right before hitting the pro-level — reeling in millions of dollars.

Now, others can do the same in the future of college basketball.
