Will he stay or will he go?

That's the $1 million question North Carolina fans have on their minds, as the wait is almost over in terms of finding out what Henri Veesaar is going to do. The deadline day has arrived for the talented big man to enter his name into the NBA Draft or not.

Soon enough, we'll find out his next move, but that just means it's prediction time for us on what he's going to ultimately do. We hate to admit it, but we are predicting Veesaar to enter his name into the NBA Draft, as he's hoping to be a first-round pick. However, we also are predicting he's going to keep the door open to return to college, as he'll have until late May to pull himself out of the draft. That's where things might get a bit complicated, though.

Everyone is waiting on UNC big man Henri Veesaar to make his NBA Draft decision

Let's say we're spot on with our prediction. What will Michael Malone and his staff choose to do? Yes, bringing back Veesaar would be a no-brainer for North Carolina, but will the Tar Heels be able to afford to give him all the time he wants?

That's where things indeed get complicated. Malone is going to have to aggressively pursue big men if Veesaar does make the jump to the league next season. While he's understanding of Veesaar wanting to test the NBA draft waters, Malone also has a starting five he has to worry about.

With top center targets off the board in the transfer portal, Malone and Co. could look overseas for options, as studs very well could be open to making the move to Chapel Hill. Malone could use Veesaar's NIL money to go after a total playmaker.

That's assuming Veesaar enters the draft. Who knows, the All-ACC playmaker could end up stunning us all by keeping his name out of the draft and just staying put, but that'd be a bit of a shocker at this point. Nope, we see him giving the Tar Heels some rough news ahead of the deadline, but again, with the option to come back still being on the table. Should that happen, we'll have to wait and see how much time Malone gives the standout Carolina big, if any.
