Class of 2025 four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny announced the top 10 schools that he could choose from earlier this afternoon. The UNC football program was among those 10 as they look to secure another top recruit for their 2025 recruiting class.

Konanbanny can become the fifth commitment for the UNC football program's 2025 class if he chooses the Tar Heels. He can be the second four-star commit in the class joining three other three-star recruits. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound corner received offers from multiple power-five schools as a junior in 2023. The UNC football program's 2025 class already has one defensive commit in three-star defensive end Kamden Laudenslager.

Konanbanny recorded 22 total tackles and two tackles for loss in his junior season in 2023. He also recovered two fumbles and had 11 pass deflections in 6 games. He played on both sides of the ball as a receiver and recorded eight catches for 27 yards and no touchdowns. The UNC football program will look to add as much defensive talent as they can, as the defense has struggled the past few years.
