Mack Brown and the UNC football program have just secured a commitment from Class of 2025 recruit Evan Haynes, a three-star wide receiver from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver chose North Carolina over Georgia Tech, an in-state university, and several other ACC rivals, such as Miami, Wake Forest, Duke, and Virginia.

According to Inside Carolina, Haynes has plenty of good things to say about Chapel Hill.

"For me, I've been there a bunch of times and every time that I go, it really just feels like a family environment… I really love the school, like the campus -- everything about the school. I've been a fan growing up, so that's been a big thing. And then just seeing how the players are and how the players interact, [and] how the coaches are and how they interact."

Haynes' elite speed has helped him stand out in the Class of 2025. In his first full season at the varsity level, Haynes tallied almost 700 yards receiving and six touchdowns.

The Roswell native is the 13th player in the Class of 2025 to commit to the North Carolina football program—but the first wide receiver to do so. While wide receiver coach Lonnie Galloway will look to add more talent to the roster before next fall, Haynes told On3 Sports that Galloway did a great job recruiting.

"Coach Lonnie is a great guy… He coached Josh Downs and me and my family are close with the Downs, so we went up there to see Josh. That is where it started with coach Galloway. Even before he was recruiting me, he had made a strong impression."
