Already on the All-ACC Freshman team, Elliot Cadeau continued to prove his value to the Tar Heels team in the first half against Florida State.

At the buzzer, Cadeau had 4 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. The freshman was all over the floor as the Heels tried to maintain their lead over the Seminoles.

“He’s everywhere,” Dan Shulman said.

With incredible vision and pristine passing, Cadeau was truly running the game on both ends of the court. Fans loved his first-half performance and were eager for more from their floor general.

North Carolina went to the locker room with a 46-30 lead over Florida State. The winner will advance to the semifinals against Pitt or Wake Forest.

"Elliot was fantastic but everybody brought energy," said head coach Hubert Davis.

UNC was led by Armando Bacot with 12 points through the first half. Bacot also had the most rebounds with 7 in the first 20 minutes.

Defensively, the Tar Heels dominated the court. They forced 8 turnovers and had 4 total steals in the first half.

Wake Forest and Pitt are scheduled to tip off at 2:30 p.m. ET. The final two quarterfinal games of the day will be Duke versus NC State and Virginia versus Boston College.
