The UNC Basketball team is the only undefeated team in the Atlantic Coast Conference in conference play. Not only are the Tar Heels winning the games on their schedule, they have done it in dominating fashion.

The 14-point road victory over NC State to cap off a three-game road stretch to begin 2024 was one of the toughest anyone has in the conference, and North Carolina went 3-0, all against current quadrant one opponents in the NET rankings.

It would've been easy for the Tar Heels to have a "let down" game following that stretch as they returned home versus Syracuse. That didn't happen, though, as the UNC Basketball team put on a dominant performance, beating the Orange 103-67.

Through five games in the ACC, North Carolina has an average margin of victory of 16 points per game, and they have four of the five contests by double-digits. The Tar Heels have two games against teams ranked toward the bottom of the conference this week, No. 15 Louisville at home on Wednesday and at No. 13 Boston College Saturday.

North Carolina can't lose either of those games if they wish to control their destiny and hold the No. 1 overall spot in these rankings. A highly anticipated matchup with Wake Forest at home will await the Tar Heels following the game with the Eagles in the first Saturday-Monday two-day turnaround of the season for the UNC Basketball program next week.
