UNC Basketball: ACC Men's Basketball rankings for the week of January 15

NC State saw their ranking drop one spot this week, and no, that isn't just because we are a North Carolina site. The Wolfpack would've moved to No. 1 with a win over the Tar Heels last week in Raleigh, however a 14-point loss to North Carolina wasn't the concerning part for the Wolfpack.
The Tar Heels are beginning to prove they are legit. The concerning part for NC State and why they moved down a spot was their six-point victory over Louisville. While it was a victory, and it was on the road, most metrics had the Wolfpack winning this game by a much larger margin, so much so that even their NET Ranking dropped following the win over the Cardinals.
NC State will host another in-state rival this week in Wake Forest. A victory over the Demon Deacons followed by a home win over Virginia Tech and we could see the Wolfpack move back into the top four next week.
