UNC Basketball: ACC Men's Basketball rankings for the week of January 15
By Jordan Falls
Last week, the Keeping It Heel team released our first Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball rankings for the 2023-2024 season. These rankings have been determined by which teams we believe are the best in the ACC, with the majority based on results on the court and against other quality teams.
After week one, most teams had played at least three games in conference play to give us a good idea, or so we thought, of where they ranked among other ACC teams. However, last week provided some shocking on-court results (Louisville winning at Miami at a 17-point underdog???), and it has now provided a major shakeup.
Let's be honest. Playing on the road in college basketball is tough. The country saw 9 of the top-11 teams in the AP Poll lose last week, with No. 2 and No. 9 losing twice. Of those teams that lost last week, only No. 10 and No. 11 Marquette Illinois lost at home, the others were on the road.
So, let's get to it. What do this week's ACC Basketball rankings look like, with every team officially having at least five games in the books and 25% of the way through the conference schedule?
