UNC Basketball 2023-2024 season review: Jalen Washington
Let's take a look back on Jalen Washington's season and discuss his future with the UNC basketball program

Dating back to his high school days, UNC forward Jalen Washington has faced his fair share of adversity. After tearing ACLs on multiple occasions, it is impressive he is on a basketball court at all much less playing for the University of North Carolina.
In both his freshman and sophomore seasons, Washington found himself behind UNC basketball legend Armando Bacot on the depth chart. Between his freshman and sophomore seasons, Washington saw his average minutes per game rise from 5.7 to 8.3.
In an attempt to maximize his opportunities, the 6-foot-10 big man averaged 3.9 points per game and 2.6 rebounds in very limited playing time. Perhaps the most astounding statistic from Jalen Washington this past season was that he shot an even 70% from the field and 53% from three-point range.
