While Holmes may not get much ink due to playing in the Atlantic 10, he was good enough that he declared for the NBA Draft after his sophomore year. He opted to come back for his junior year and has matured into one of the best players outside a power conference. His scoring average ticked up to just over 20 points per game and he averaged 2.3 blocks per game. He was named as a second-team All-American this week, and the only one on that roster from a mid-major conference.
