North Carolina National Championship Odds: Tar Heels expected to contender in 2025
The 2025 National Championship odds have North Carolina lined as a contender to cut down the nets next season ahead of a busy offseason across the country.

The North Carolina Tar Heels put together a fantastic season in 2024, but came up short of its goals after nabbing a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
However, Hubert Davis’ Tar Heels are expected to be firmly in the mix for a National Championship in 2025. North Carolina has plenty of high-end talent in the fold already with Elliot Cadeau already a starter as a freshman for much of the season and the team expected to add around him.
While rival Duke is the favorite, and two-time defending champion UConn is firmly entrenched at the top of the odds board, North Carolina is involved as well, tied with several teams at +1500.
Davis landed two top 10 recruits in the incoming 2024 recruiting class in guard Ian Jackson and wing Drake Powell and he has proven to be capable in the transfer portal after bringing in the likes of Harrison Ingram and Cormac Ryan last offseason. Can the head coach continue to bolster his roster with veteran talent?
The competition will be fierce in 2025, there are so many avenues to building a formidable roster, but there is plenty of confidence that the Tar Heels will be in the mix yet again in 2025.
