New UNC Nike running shoes debuting on Thursday, August 29

For those Tar Heel fans that need to update their wardrobe as the 2024 football season kicks off, Nike has put together another awesome round of Pegasus team shoes for the general public.

Exclusive player editions are hard to come by and usually cost you an arm and a leg. The new Nike Zoom Pegasus 41 UNC edition may just cost you a pinky toe.

$150 is nothing to sneeze at, but it does make the shoe more accessible than some of the used player editions that you can find on second-hand sales sites. And the Air Pegasus is a top road-running shoe.

The Pegasus 40 was predominantly white, as were all of the Nike school variants. It was speculated that the Pegasus 41 would be navy blue, since the Pegasus 39 was Carolina blue. Fortunately, Nike has not strictly enforced this color rotation, since Carolina blue is far and away the best color to have for these shoes.

If you grab a pair, make sure you hit the road soon! The Tar Heels will need the good vibes and juju for the fall season, and you'll want to stack those miles before it gets too cold to run outside.
