Coby white has continued to improve his game since he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 2019 NBA Draft. The former UNC basketball standout is averaging a career-high 17.6 points per game in 2023 and has averaged almost 20 points per game in his last ten games.

After the Bulls lost guard Zach Lavine with a foot injury the team needed someone to step up. White has done just that for Chicago averaging 22.6 points per game in December during Lavine's absence. Having the ball in his hands more helped White surpass 4,000 career points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.

White has seemingly found his confidence after averaging less than 10 points per game in 2022-23. Not a lot of opportunities came his way as he had to share the ball with Demar Derozan and Zach Lavine last season, but he's grown more comfortable with the ball this season.

White started off slow in 2023-24 averaging just 10 points per game in the first month of the season but has greatly improved as the season has gone on. White has shown an ability to take over games as of late and he's very comfortable with the ball in his hands late in crucial situations.

Fans of the UNC basketball program hasn't seen this much confidence from White since his only season with the Tar Heels in 2018-19. White averaged 16 points and four assists per game as a true freshman and led his team to the Sweet 16 against Auburn. He was the main contributor in the UNC basketball program's sweep over rival Duke in the regular season, and he had a season-high 34 points in a win against Syracuse.

Coby White was known for his speed and quick decision making as a member of the UNC basketball program. NBA scouts fell in love with his ability to fly up and down the court and make athletic plays on the offensive and defensive end, and that helped him become the seventh overall pick in the 2019 draft. The most memorable part of his draft experience was watching college teammate Cameron Johnson get drafted by the Phoenix Suns. White was an excellent teammate while at North Carolina and he hasn't stopped since coming to the NBA.

White's role with the Chicago Bulls could continue to grow as the season goes on, as the Chicago Bulls are rumored to trade Zach Lavine at the trade deadline in February. The Bulls have looked like a more complete team with White at the helm, and the team could look to build around him in the future.
