School is back in session, and the North Carolina Tar Heels begin life without Drake Maye. Their first stop? A potential downpour in Minneapolis, and there is no Metrodome to keep the rain out.

The UNC football program is looking to erase the disappointment of a late-season slide that saw the Heels drop two games they were heavily favored to win before losing their last three games of the season, including a bare-bottom spanking by NC State. Righting those wrongs starts at Minnesota.

Things figure to look radically different from last season's team. The offense will be without NFL-level talent for the first time in five years, and Omarion Hampton figures to carry the offense. The defense can't get worse, and new defensive coordinator Geoff Collins promises to bring chaos. The good kind. Hopefully.
