Omarion Hampton eclipsed the 3,000 career rushing yard mark in a dominant display at Florida State on Saturday afternoon.

Hampton must be absolutely exhausted. He rushed 32 times for 172 yards and four touchdowns and also caught three passes for 93 yards, including a 49-yard shovel pass that he took to the house for his fifth touchdown.

Florida State was the perfect opponent for Hampton to face so close to reaching this milestone. The Seminoles were not strong against the run to start with, and Hampton had many of them making business decisions when he reached them in the second level.

Hampton's production has increased substantially since getting only 88 carries for 401 yards during his freshman season. He eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in a season for the second straight year, and is a threat to overtake his outstanding sophomore year output of 1,504 rushing yards.

Currently sitting at 1,006 yards, Hampton has three more regular season games to surpass his rushing total from a season ago. Based on how he's run the football as of late, don't be shocked if Hampton blows past the 1,500-yard rushing mark before the regular season comes to a close.

Let's hope for good health and opportunities for Hampton to etch his name in UNC football and NCAA record books alike.
