If you needed yet another reason to get excited about UNC signing Terrence Brown, the electric guard just provided it in a big way. Over in Chapel Hill, a summer camp took center stage, with youngsters fired up to not only participate, but also to have the chance to meet stars on the team. Brown delivered there and then some.
Top UNC target emerges with Michael Malone's final roster spot still looming
As you can see from the videos below, Brown was mobbed by little kids as he was getting ready to take off. Instead of just speeding away and ignoring everyone around him, the playmaker took the time to sign autographs and give everyone on hand a memory they'll be bragging about at school for the next year. Come on, this is just awesome:

Terrence Brown provided young UNC fans with the memory of a lifetime
The smile on everyone's face really says it all there too. Imagine how it must have been for Brown as well. He just recently made the move to campus, but icons like Roy Williams are welcoming him to town with open arms. To make things better, he can't even get in his car without a huge group of fans begging him for an autograph.
He has reached rockstar status with the Tar Heels and he hasn't even played in a single game yet at the Dean Dome. His fame around town is only going to grow once the regular season gets underway. Brown is slated to be the starting point guard in 2026-27, taking that spot from Seth Trimble, who has left UNC and recently signed with the Washington Wizards after going undrafted.
Filling Trimble's massive shoes will not be easy, but Brown has what it takes to be a total standout for this squad. Last season with Utah, the 6-3, 175-pounder averaged 19.9 points and 3.8 assists per game. He shot 45.3 percent on his field-goal attempts, but his 32.7 percent rate from 3-point land is something that has to improve in the ACC next campaign.
With Brown running the point, he's expected to be joined by Matt Able, Neoklis Avdalas, Jarin Stevenson and Alexandros Samodurov in the starting five. Five-star center Sayon Keita will provide valuable minutes off the bench too, but according to Inside Carolina, he's yet to make the move over from Europe. Once he does arrive, he'll be able to hit the ground running with his offseason training.
That's not a problem for Brown, who is making noise on and off the hardwood for Michael Malone thus far this summer. It's no surprise he's winning over the fanbase too, as Brown has embraced UNC from the moment he announced he was committing to the Heels over Kansas and others. The excitement is there, but it will be on Brown to back everything up once he laces up his sneakers when it matters. Thankfully, he has all the tools to be an absolute star for Malone and his staff.
