As things stand, Michael Malone is still on his grind to help UNC fill out the roster, but we can't overlook how great some of his recruiting gets have been thus far. On the list is Utah transfer guard Terrence Brown, who scored nearly 20 points per game last season.
Latest Matt Able update provides a huge relief for UNC fans, but there's a catch
Brown was down to UNC and Kansas, but gave Malone the news he was hoping for. Since then, Carolina fans have been hyping him up, as countless people are excited to see what he can get done next season. Need another reason to be jacked up about his future in Chapel Hill? Well, Brown just provided that, sharing quite the jam from a recent workout:

Terrence Brown throwing down an awesome windmill dunk will have UNC fans excited
Yeah, that'll work. The way that Brown does this and makes it look easy is pretty darn head-turning. Is this a sneak preview of what he's going to get done at the Smith Center next season too? We sure hope so, as he has all the tools to be a total difference-maker for this team.
The fact that the standout guard is working so hard this offseason too is pretty great. He knows what comes with donning a North Carolina jersey and he's surely going to want to live up the hype. He's not the only transfer on the way to town too, as Neoklis Avdalas, Cade Bennerman and Matt Able are also on board.
Malone isn't even close to done in filling out the 2026 class either, which also features high school signees Maximo Adams and Malloy Smith, plus 5-star FC Barcelona center Sayon Keita. Yeah, a lot of talent is making its way to Chapel Hill for the 2026-27 season.
With another veteran piece or two, specifically at center, the Tar Heels have what it takes to be a preseason Top 20-25 team in the country leading up to next year. Obviously, Brown is going to be among the new talents who will be counted on to be at his best from start to finish.
He lit up the hardwood while with Utah and now more of the same will be expected from him in the ACC. Judging by how his workouts are going thus far this spring, it feels like he's going to be a total stud for the Heels once the new campaign arrives.
