Penalties

One hallmark of Bill Belichick's Patriots (besides, y'know, taking advantage of stuff) was discipline. Penalties were absolutely verboten. However, this year's UNC team is not the NFL's 33rd team, despite what General Manager Michael Lombardi says.

11 penalties (ELEVEN!) for 73 yards is just too many. And even though the final margin was five, the game was really decided when UNC captured the onside kick with less than two minutes left. But in another single-score contest, those penalties could be the difference between a win and a loss.

With rivalry games against in-state foes up on the docket, it's imperative that North Carolina keep cool heads and steady focus to execute without getting flagged. Bowl eligibility (and the 15 extra practices that come with it) are counting on it.
