Lessons Learned from UNC football's demoralizing loss to Duke

This is a deeply unserious football team.

Nate Sheppard, Baller

Duke's freshman running back Nate Sheppard was incredibly impressive in his first game against North Carolina. He ran the ball 22 times for 90 yards and added an 18-yard catch to his eye-catching workload.

UNC's defense had trouble coming to grips with Sheppard all night. Literally. Trying to tackle him is like trying to hold on to an eel in your hands. He's super slippery and hits the turbo button when he gets to the corner, slipping past defenders that are supposed to contain the outside lane.

Having Sheppard and Castle beat up UNC all afternoon gave me an appreciation of what other teams must have felt when Javonte Williams and Michael Carter were battering them. I didn't like it. If UNC has room in the NIL budget, they should put feelers out to Sheppard's camp. If he's not in the dorms, he might not even have to move!
