Lessons Learned from UNC football program's impotent performance at Boston College

North Carolina's signal caller was an overall net contributor in wins over Virginia and Florida State. He threw three touchdowns against no interceptions in those two games and was only sacked once. In the last two games against Wake Forest and Boston College, he's been sacked 12 times, only thrown one touchdown against the Deacs, and was picked off three times at Boston College.

That dog won't hunt.

NC State has FBS's No. 98-ranked pass defense (238 yards per game) versus the No. 54-ranked run defense (138.4 ypg). They are going to be keyed in to stop Omarion Hampton. Criswell needs to put enough pressure on the defense to prevent them from loading up in the box to stop Hampton.

Criswell clearly misses the presence of senior tight end Bryson Nesbit. In just five games this season, he had amassed 264 receiving yards (11 yards per catch!) and three touchdowns. His wide catch radius is a valuable quality for a quarterback like Criswell, who won't always put the ball square on your chest.

With just one more game left in the season before Hampton likely closes up shop to prepare for the NFL Draft, it is imperative that any receiver stands up so this team can finally beat NC State.
