I'm probably one of the more "cup half full" fans you'll find in Tar Heel Nation. Boston College took that cup and threw its contents in my face. It didn't feel great.
The North Carolina football program finds itself in a curious place. The team was in crisis after a humiliating loss at home to James Madison and the misery piled on. Losing the Victory Bell to Duke after leading 20-0. Getting smacked around by Pitt. Capitulating on the last drive to Georgia Tech. It felt like the team was in the kind of tailspin that killed Goose.
The wins over Virginia, Florida State, and Wake Forest papered over some of the cracks, but they are laid out bare again after being comprehensively beaten by Boston College. Let's look at some lessons learned from a thrashing Mack Brown and company will be eager to forget.
