The UNC basketball program had Thanksgiving spoiled by Michigan State for the second year in a row. Tom Izzo has tried to exorcize the demons of Roy Williams belting him in Final Fours and on aircraft carriers by defeating his protégé, Hubert Davis, in back-to-back Thanksgiving tournaments. This year, the Fort Myer Tip Off was the site of said revenge.

It will come as no surprise that Michigan State was the most physical opponent that North Carolina has faced this season, and the Tar Heels are unlikely to run into any opponent that can pound on them like this again. As far as losses go, this is a good one to get early in the season, and Hubert Davis will onboard a lot of lessons going forward. Let's do the same.
