Killer Posts
East Tennessee State does not have the size to compete with North Carolina in the post. Their tallest forwards are only 6-foot-8. This was always going to be a tough match-up for them.
Having said that, it was some evening for Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson. Coach Davis must have told them that the Buccaneers set their mom's car on fire or something, because UNC's twin towers of power put the belt to them all night. They combined for 46 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists, most of them to each other.
Both posts scored at all three levels and were effective from the free-throw line. But probably more valuable than the volume of their points was the violence of those points. I showed you the clip of Caleb Wilson dunking past Cam Morris earlier. But look at this dunk attempt that ultimately did not go down. If it had, Caleb Wilson would be in front of a judge pleading for his freedom.

That foul saved Isaiah Sutherland's life. If Caleb connected on that facial with his head at the rim, Sutherland would be buried at the Old Chapel Hill Cemetery while the rest of his team flew home.
As impressive as Caleb Wilson's game was, Veesaar's was even better and more efficient.
Coming to UNC was such a great decision by Veesaar. He's playing more minutes, is being featured, and has great chemistry with Wilson. Together, they're being called the best front court in America, and based on this kind of output, which drives the entire team, it's hard to argue against it.
