Line-Up Changes?

Against SC Upstate, I wrote about how Luka Bogavac played like he didn't want to give up his starting spot to Seth Trimble when the senior guard finally makes his return. All of that good work seems to have gone in the bin, as Bogavac had an indifferent game against ETSU, and Hubert Davis started the second half with Jonathan Powell.

Powell, if you'll recall, had a UNC career-high 17 points against SC Upstate, and he made his presence felt, even if his shot wasn't falling. Powell was energetic on defense, and his off-the-ball work was blowing up ETSU sets before they had a chance to develop into anything dangerous. Powell didn't have a lot of blocks, steals, or lay-ups, but his defensive work helped UNC sustain long runs, contributing to his +/- of an outstanding +11. He played 24 minutes, four more than Bogavac.

Suddenly, Hubert Davis has some good headaches to sort out when Trimble returns.
