Where is the bench production?

Germany's U-boat strategy was doomed to failure after the US and the Royal Navy implemented their destroyer-escort system to ensure the safety of Allied supply ships to England. U-boats, expensive to produce and requiring rare materials coveted by the Army and Air Force, were not providing a return on investment to Hitler's war machine. The Kriegsmarine eventually ceded the Battle of the Atlantic to the Allies, as they could not sustain their losses.

Hubert Davis hopes to avoid a similar fate when it comes to bench production. His reserves generated just 10 points against Navy, and 8 of them came from freshman Derek Dixon, who hit two threes and two free throws. The previously mentioned free throws from James Brown were the only other bench points.

Zayden High, Jadon Young, Jonathan Powell, and Isaiah Denis also played. None of them scored. Dixon was the only bench player with a positive +/-. That cannot continue, especially if Caleb Wilson gets into foul trouble. Seth Trimble's return will alleviate some of the bench scoring burden, but this period with him in a cast was an opportunity for another player to stake a claim to more playing time. Nobody is taking advantage.
