Lessons Learned from UNC basketball's hard earned victory at Kentucky

Why I can't quit Seth Trimble.

Our sweet prince Seth Trimble hasn't played for seven straight games since breaking his forearm in a weight room accident. So why do I keep bringing him up?

Kentucky guards Denzel Aberdeen and Collin Chandler were menaces, scoring a combined 22 points, most of them eight feet or closer to the basket. They were getting to their spots at will, and gave Kyan Evans and Luka Bogavac a torrid time on defense.

Seth Trimble would have surely stifled some of their scoring, and in such a tight game, given UNC some much-needed breathing room. He also would have been a secondary ball handler that could help North Carolina negotiate the half-court trap that Kentucky kept setting in the second half, which gobbled up much of the shot clock, and led to some cover-your-eyes passes from Evans across the court that I could have sworn would get intercepted and converted into dunks like in the first half.

But not to fear, Trimble should be back soon, perhaps as an early Christmas present. Look! He's already out of his hard cast!
