Jarin Stevenson needs to get loud

I hate to agree with a former Dookie, but ACC Network announcer Chris Spatola was spot on with his assessment of Jarin Stevenson's play against NC Central. Spatola said that Stevenson "needs to play loud."

What does he mean by that? Stevenson was perfectly functional against the Eagles and was well within the flow of the game, facilitating, defending, and otherwise moving the ball down the field three yards per play. But Stevenson is not just some guy. He's a 6-foot-10 matchup nightmare. He can shoot from deep and has the size to get what he wants in the post. He should be dominating matchups like this. Instead, he finished the night with just five points and three rebounds in 21 minutes, the fewest of the five starters.

There was a sequence where Stevenson blocked a shot, ran down the floor, and received a pass for an easy lay-up. Now that Hubert Davis has seen that, he should be demanding that kind of production regularly. Seth Trimble will insert himself into the starting line-up when he returns. Stevenson is in competition with Luka Bogavac to see who will stay in the starting line-up when that happens. He needs to play loud from now on.
