Lessons Learned from the UNC basketball program's ugly loss at Wake Forest

The season was on life support, and now it's crashing. All doctors (preferably ones who can shoot!) to the ICU, stat!

LJVM Coliseum must have transported from Winston-Salem to Newark, New Jersey, because it was Brick City last night. Both teams conspired to put forth one of the most awful displays of three-point shooting in recent memory.

Wake Forest finished the night 2/15, and didn't hit their first trey until there was 13:51 left in the game. North Carolina went 8/32 for the game, but two of those shots went in when the game was all but decided, including RJ Davis's hit at the buzzer to take the margin from four to one.

North Carolina had a tough time living in the paint. They went 8/21 on their lay-up attempts and Wake Forest had seven blocks. With defensive threats covering the rim, UNC had to rely on their perimeter scoring, and it was simply not up to the task.

Hubert Davis ran some creative action to find open shots, but the Tar Heels did not meet it with the service it required. Ian Jackson, Drake Powell, and Seth Trimble all missed open threes from the corner when the offense ran a set to create an open look for them.

Just one of those needed to go in for North Carolina to win the game.
