What a night for two of North Carolina's starting backcourt.

Seth Trimble had a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds. RJ Davis had a cool 30 points, including four huge three-pointers, and hit 10/11 free throws, which were massive at the end of the game when he made four straight to seal the win.

Trimble started the game hot, hitting two corner threes from the same spot, but eventually had one blocked and seemed to struggle as the rest of the team did. In the second half, when UNC started forcing turnovers and running hard in transition, Trimble got his mojo going, attacking the rim with vim and vigor, Euro-stepping Dayton players on the way to cup, getting fouled, and dapping up Roy Williams who was sitting on the baseline.

What was most impressive for both RJ Davis and Seth Trimble, along with Elliot Cadeau, was that they all finished the game with four fouls but were able to finish the game. There were a lot of iffy calls, and any whistle could've spelled the game for them, but all three guards played with enough composure to see out the win.
