The UNC basketball program returned to Chapel Hill after a Christmas break victory in New York rivaled only by Kevin McCallister when he beat the Sticky Bandits in a renovated brownstone on Christmas Eve. The team had some time off to be with family before returning to campus to put the final touches on their preparations for conference play.
The last test? In-state Campbell, who were never really a threat to beat UNC, but the Tar Heels couldn't float through any game with five losses in the books already. The test would be a little tougher with Seth Trimble out of the game, too, but the Tar Heels passed with flying colors.
