Lessons Learned from the UNC Basketball program's exhibition against Johnson C. Smith
The Tar Heels cruised, and looked fast. Is this what we can expect moving forward?
Ian Jackson adds "WOW" factor
Ian Jackson's preseason debut was a bit underwhelming. The McDonald's All-American only had two points at Memphis, both coming from the free throw line.
No worries. He just exploded in his second competitve game. Jackson scored a team-high 21 points on 6-10 shooting (1-3 from three, 8-10 from the line), and he was a constant danger attacking the rim:
If Jackson gets comfortable, he'll give Hubert Davis a bevy of choices in the backcourt to attack teams with. If UNC is committed to playing fast, it will behoove them to play balls to the wall knowing that they have talented subs to keep the attack fresh. ACC teams will gum up the attack in the halfcourt and transition, so Jackson will have to prove he can score in set plays as well.
