Lessons Learned from the UNC basketball program's big win over La Salle

The Tar Heels needed a minute to get rolling but may have found some stocking stuffers on the roster.

... but a GREAT finish

How great was that second half?

North Carolina assisted 13 of 19 made field goals. They got 11 regular rotation players in the game, and even got to throw in the Biscuit Boys at the end, who contributed two points!

In a powerful cameo, James Brown played just five second-half minutes but scored six points on 3/4 shooting and looked much more fluid and comfortable in the pick-and-roll than some of his elders.

But the star of the show was Cade Tyson, who finally got cooking. He scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half on 5/8 shooting (4/7 from three). It was a great performance over an overmatched opponent, but if he can give Hubert Davis 50% of that in an ACC game, suddenly, North Carolina looks more capable. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come!
