The Tar Heels were too much for the Rams in their final tune-up to the 2025-26 season.

Improved Shooting

Against BYU, the Tar Heels came out cold shooting from downtown. UNC was 4-for-19 (21.1%) in a game they lost by 2 points. Getting up to 30% would have been enough to overcome the two-point margin of loss.

Against Winston-Salem State, and with the familiar sight lines of the Smith Center, North Carolina shot 12 for 32 (37.5%). If UNC can average this for the season and shoot at volume, they'll be well on their way to a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

Shooters abound in this line-up with seven players hitting at least one trey, and all of them should be in the ten-deep rotation. The Biscuit Boys didn't mess with the statistics or analysis. It's one game against a weaker opponent, so let's keep our eyes on this statistic as the season progresses.
