This may just have to be a pinned segment of Lessons Learned going forward.

The freshman star was a man among boys against Kansas. With all the pregame hype focused on Darryn Peterson (who was an absolute problem), Caleb Wilson was on a mission to show a national audience that he was a player who needs to be reckoned with.

He got started early with a nasty put-back dunk over the back of 6-foot-10 Flory Bidunga, who must have felt like Detective Anthony/Tiffany in White Chicks when Wilson suddenly cast a shadow over him:

Wilson was yet again the game's leading scorer, with 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists (on some great high-low passing), and was an absolute menace on team defense, helping force a ten-second violation and swiping four steals.

In a game with national attention, Wilson had exactly the type of showcase performance to put a marker down for a highly talented freshman class on where the top talent calls home. Chapel Hill will be a must-see stop for NBA scouts for UNC's best pro prospect since Marvin Williams.
