Angry Caleb

Freshman superstar Caleb Wilson has impressed with every step of his journey thus far at UNC. Now that he's a known quantity at the college level, teams have begun game planning for him, and he's seeing some interesting double-teams. ECU threw a wrinkle by having guards sneak in from the perimeter to try and get their hands on the ball when Wilson tries to operate with his back to the basket.

After guard Jordan Riley stole the ball from Wilson, the freshman talisman made it his mission to punish any East Carolina player in his path, "Pirates, ye be warned." Wilson alternated between violently dunking the ball on offense and volleyball spiking it on defense.

My nieces asked me if I ever dunked the ball in high school. "No, I did not," I told them, "... but I have been dunked on. There's no worse feeling in the world."

Caleb Wilson's dunks are worth more than just two points. They feed North Carolina with energy, and they take out the will to resist from his opponents. Wilson has shown a hunger to dunk whenever humanly possible, to the point that he's missed a few dunks because he's attempting them from outside the charge circle, even though his arms don't quite reach.
