Missing Seth Trimble

That banging noise you hear is Jonas Sahratian nailing down all the gym equipment in the Dean Smith Center to the floor so UNC doesn't have any more accidents like the one that took out Seth Trimble. The senior guard has been missed while sitting on the sidelines in a hard cast.

Kyan Evans was limited to 25 minutes with foul trouble, and his back-ups didn't exactly light the world on fire. Derek Dixon played 15 minutes, but only had one made field goal (and went 2/2 from the free throw line). But look at his +/- of -7. When Dixon and Jonathan Powell shared the backcourt late in the first half, St. Bonaventure went on a 14-5 run to tie the game. UNC closed the first half with just a two-point cushion.

Seth Trimble will easily eat up precious guard minutes and can be productive both in transition and getting to the foul line. He can also take the top defensive assignment, keeping Evans out of foul trouble. As a consequence of Kyan's sojourn to the bench, Luka Bogavac took on play-making responsibilities and had four assists against just one turnover.

Guard play needs to pick up until Trimble returns.
