Zeroing in on RB1

North Carolina may not be the school you think of as RBU, but the Tar Heels have historically generated a ton of top-notch college running backs. True freshman Demon June may be added to the list shortly.
As KIH noted in a dedicated article, Demon June may be evolving into RB1 in Bill Belichick's mind. His 148 rushing yards on just 14 carries with a 45-yard touchdown run is impressive enough. But consider to that against Richmond, he was one of only two running backs with carries (sophomore Davion Gause had six yards on five carries). Against Charlotte, five Tar Heels running backs had carries, and against TCU, three did, though to be fair, the high number of three-and-outs limited opportunities for carries.
Caleb Hood had the first rushing touchdown of the season in a game that June only saw the field on special teams, but it would appear that the freshman known as Ju-Ju may supplant him as Carolina's RB1.
