Can the Heels stay hungry?
As mentioned before, UNC does not really have room for any more losses, except maybe Duke. The remaining schedule sets up well for the Tar Heels to make a late season charge for the NCAA Tournament, but can we count on them to show up for every game?
I don't know. This team has been wildly inconsistent in terms of intensity all season long. They were sleepwalking through the Clemson game while the Tigers closed out one of the most famous weeks of their program's history. The Syracuse win was a good response, but the NC State game was emphatic.
The biggest question now is can Hubert Davis get his team to play like they did while running a train on NC State for the remaining five regular season games? If they can, they absolutely can win all five. But they can only dream of winning the last one if they play with maximum effort, full court execution, and defensive intensity that they showed last night.
