What can the Tar Heels hang their hat on?
When Sam Howell and Drake Maye were in Chapel Hill, UNC boasted one of the nation's best aerial attacks. Last season, Omarion Hampton led a devastating rushing attack, piling up yards after contact. What would you say the Tar Heels do well now?
Even against Charlotte and Richmond, you couldn't really see an identity taking shape. Demon June had a great game against Richmond, but hasn't translated that into reliable production. Benjamin Hall started eating into his carries against UCF.
I can't quite figure out if Freddie Kitchens is the problem, because the players are clearly not at the level. The offensive line doesn't dominate the line of scrimmage, the receivers aren't making game-breaking plays (Kobe Paysour, who has been extremely productive for three seasons, had his first catch of the year for UNC's only touchdown!) and the running game is stuck against quality opposition.
First of the year for @kobepaysour8 🤝

The bye week comes at a critical time. Bill Belichick's reputation as a teacher and a coach who can make adjustments are about to be put to the test.
