The UNC football program got beat up for the second time this season, but this loss came with a valuable lesson. In the eventual destruction of college athletics, it's imperative that North Carolina joins either the SEC or Big Ten. The Big XII has shown that they can punish the Tar Heels from top to bottom.
North Carolina couldn't score enough to keep up with the Golden Knights, and when they did score, the Tar Heels took too much time, and didn't convert their two-point conversion. It was wishful thinking, breaking up the deficit in 8-point chunks.
The non-conference portion of the schedule is over, and North Carolina has been smashed by both of their Power Five opponents. With ACC play starting soon, here are some lessons learned as the Tar Heels limp into the bye week 2-2.
