The UNC football program's new head coach, Bill Belichick, has asked to have his significant other be copied on emails being sent to him.

This kind of information has came out of left field for many, if not all who have dug deeper into the situation. It's fair to say that Belichick having his partner attached to email threads are somewhat going over the top.

Does this even make any sense logically? Is the 24-year-old Jordan Hudson becoming a part of too much? Perhaps so, but Belichick is the shot caller in this situation — he is steering the ship, and with that comes the opportunity to do one thing or another.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio discusses more about the situation:

"Matt Hartman of TheAssemblyNC.com has obtained emails from Belichick to North Carolina officials directing them to copy his 24-year-old girlfriend on certain messages sent to him. Although the copy of the specific email posted by Hartman focuses on “social media and web content,” Hartman adds that she was copied on other emails, including whether to accept interview requests.

Sure, Belichick is entitled to involve Jordan in whatever capacity he wants but from outsider's perspective there would seem to be a fine line between a personal life and work life.

Making the situation even more bizarre is that most pro football observers would have picked the 72-year-old Belichick as the least likely NFL figure to let something like this happen. Belichick is the ultimate “do your fucking job"/no distractions football coach. As recently as two years ago, Belichick would have openly mocked any other coach who would have allowed a 24-year-old girlfriend to insinuate herself so thoroughly into the coach’s professional existence."

Regardless of the circumstances, Belichick is in Chapel Hill to win ballgames and if he does then fans should be satisfied. But Belichick copying his significant other in emails can be considered as the least of people's worries.
