It's going to be a busy offseason for the North Carolina Tar Heels and head man Hubert Davis. While a lot of the focus is on finding some point guard help now that Elliott Cadeau, a former 5-star signee, has entered the transfer portal, that's not the only issue to resolve.

While speaking on his radio show, Davis didn't hold back in saying that this team needs to get more physical overall. He wants to add plenty of size and toughness to his roster for the 2025-26 season, making it clear that's his top priority. You know what, we agree with him.

UNC HC Hubert Davis is ready to add size and physical players via the transfer portal

"We've got to get bigger," Davis said via Inside Carolina. "We just do. From A to Z, we just do. And we talked about the physicality of Ole Miss and their positional size was bigger than us. And pretty much that's the way we were the whole season. So that's one of the things that we're definitely going to address is, we've got to get bigger. In terms of that physicality, you have to have a presence, you have to be bigger. And that's what we're addressing."

In addition to Cadeau, Jalen Washington has also decided to enter the transfer portal. The 6-10 big man from Gary, Ind. checks in at 6-10, 235 pounds. Replacing him on the roster is going to be a start for Davis and his coaching staff.

Early on, it looks like North Carolina fans have Donovan Dent at the top of their wishlist in terms of portal signings, but even if UNC does land the Mountain West Player of the Year, there's going to be plenty more work that needs to be done for the Heels.

This past campaign was a bit of a disappointment for the ACC powerhouse, as UNC barely snuck into the NCAA Tournament, with plenty of people still holding a beef that it got one of the final spots. The win over San Diego State was nice, but losing to Ole Miss in the first round was infuriating, leaving a lot of people unhappy with Davis. It's on him to get people to start believing in him again. He can do that by adding some game-changers via the portal.
