Just because he's now suiting up for Arizona, it doesn't mean that Caleb Love has forgotten about what it means to play for UNC basketball. He has said that he'll always have love for the Tar Heels after he made the tough call to transfer after the 2022-23 season.
With that said, Love also won't forget what the UNC-Duke rivalry means. His 3-pointer in the Final Four against Duke not long ago remains one of the best shots in recent memory for the program. Looking ahead to later this week, Love is getting ready to once again take on the Blue Devils, as Arizona and Duke are facing off in the Sweet Sixteen. Straight up, Love is ready to end its season:
"We'll be ready for them."

Former UNC star Caleb Love is ready to provide more bad memories for Duke fans everywhere
Several times, Love said, "We'll be ready for them." He hesitated at the start of that postgame interview, with plenty of North Carolina and Arizona fans convinced he had something else on his mind to say about Duke, but he caught himself.
That's a sign of maturity from Love, but we can go ahead and speak for him. He knows all about the Blue Devils and he would love nothing better than to end their season in the Sweet Sixteen. Right now, all of the talk is about how Cooper Flagg and the ACC champs are going to push to win it all. Not on Love's watch.

Has it been three years already? Yup, Love buried that epic 3-pointer against the Blue Devils while suiting up for Hubert Davis, helping North Carolina pull off a magical upset. This time around, Love once again has the opportunity to send Duke home. While we wish he was getting ready to do so in a Tar Heels jersey, it looks like a lot of us are going to be rooting for Arizona on Thursday night. Pulling for you, Caleb.
