Another Tar Heel is on the move as former Buffalo Bill Mack Hollins has signed a two-year deal with the New England Patriots.

Hollins has been something of a special teams ace during his eight-year NFL career, but in his only season in Buffalo, he had his second best statistical season at wideout. He had 31 catches for 378 yards and five touchdowns, his best output since his 2022 season with the Las Vegas Raiders when he went for 57/690/4.
But this contract with New England was put together from his outstanding performance in the AFC championship game. Even though the Bills lost to Kansas City, Hollins shined when the lights were at their brightest. He had three catches for 73 yards and a huuuuge touchdown.
Drake Maye never overlapped with Mack Hollins during his time in Chapel Hill, but he'll surely enjoy having him in his offensive huddle. Hollins has shown that he can make big plays downfield, and at 6-foot-4, he'll be able to high point some balls that Maye can safely throw over a cornerback's head. Hollins is also a willing and capable blocker, so the offense as a whole should get a lift from his presence.
Good luck to Mack Hollins as he makes Gillette Stadium his new home!
