Former UNC Football star Eric Ebron announced his retirement from the NFL

After 8 great seasons in the National Football League, former UNC Football star Eric Ebron has announced his retirement.
During his time in North Carolina, Ebron had 112 catches, 1805 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns, and he still holds the UNC football records for receiving yards by a tight end and total catches by a tight end. Ebron played for the Tar Heels for three years before getting drafted 10th overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2014 NFL Draft, making him the first tight end selected.
Ebron played 5 seasons for Detroit totaling up 186 catches for 2070 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2018, Ebron signed a two-year, 13-million-dollar deal with the Indianapolis Colts. Ebron had his best season with the Colts in that following season with 66 catches, 750 yards, and 13 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl selection. Ebron ended his career playing two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 642 yards and six touchdowns in 23 games played.
Ebron had a great college and NFL career. In his eight-year National Football League career, he finished with 3,837 yards and 33 touchdowns. Ebron made three playoff appearances with each of the Lions, Colts, and Steelers. He also made one Pro Bowl after having his best season with the Colts.
