Coby White last played in Chapel Hill during the 2018-2019 season. A year that featured Luke Maye, Kenny Williams, Cameron Johnson, Garrison Brooks, Nassir Little, Andrew Platek, and more. His one go-around on a collegiate basketball calendar was nothing short of spectacular — White was able to get two wins against Duke, too.

Fast forward to today, and White is finding ways to make an impact on the Chicago Bulls (his sixth season) — earning Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks, becoming the first Chicago Bull since the GOAT, Michael Jordan, to accomplish this feat.

After four games last week against the Utah jazz, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and the Los Angeles Lakers, the former Tar Heel averaged 30.3 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game — outstanding numbers.

Not to mention, the entire stretch took place on the road — not a single outing in Chicago. His numbers on away from the United Center this season pop out, too. White is recording 21.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, as well as 4.1 assists.

As of right now, the Bulls have a record of 32-40. Despite White's performance on the hardwood, his team has not been able to get together for the majority of the calendar year. But with winning four of their last five matchups, head coach Billy Donovan may have found the recipe for success.

For Tar Heel fans, imagine if White stayed in Chapel Hill for four years? The probability of winning an NCAA Championship would have been large, as he able to manage the show in Chapel Hill as the starting point guard in his lone campaign. North Carolina reached the Sweet 16 during March Madness before falling to the hands of the hot-shooting Auburn Tigers.

Nonetheless, his contributions under former head coach Roy Williams were evident and made for a fun season that Carolina fans will remember for ages.
