We thought this kid could do no wrong.

Likely no one will ever match the love and energy that Caleb Wilson brought to UNC. The fact that he only enjoyed one season with the Tar Heels feels like robbery for fans, as he indeed meant so much to the program and university as a whole. However, we finally found something to be upset with him about?

Michael Malone completely vindicated for his NBA ending as his UNC tenure begins

Wilson, a projected Top 5 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, was at a Lakers game and he was asked about who his favorite player was growing up. He went with LeBron James, which is more than fine. However, he added that LeBron is the best player of all time? Over Jordan? Come on, Caleb!

Caleb Wilson listing LeBron James as his GOAT over Michael Jordan has people talking

"For me, definitely LeBron," Wilson said when asked who he looked up to growing up. "I feel like he's the greatest player of all time, so just being able to be here and watch him at this game is pretty cool."

That's it, ban him from Chapel Hill and never let him set foot in the Dean Dome ever again. Obviously, we're kidding here. It's not a surprise that Wilson has King James as his No. 1 player ever, as he grew up watching him.

Had Wilson been born 15 years earlier, he'd probably be singing Jordan's praises. Hey, as Carolina fans, you're probably all-in on Jordan being the GOAT, with his six rings being at the start of the debate. Air Jordan as a nickname too? Yeah, we give that edge over King James.

As for Wilson's future in the NBA, he's indeed all set to be a Top 5 pick, with several new NBA Mock Drafts having him going No. 4. Once his name gets called, some Carolina fans might be in tears, as they're going to be so happy and excited for the talented playmaker.

Wilson's injuries this year prevented him from helping Carolina go on a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, but that doesn't take away from the impact he had on all things Tar Heels. Are we going to hold his LeBron-Jordan thoughts against him? Not a chance. But, maybe it's time for Jordan to get on the horn and remind the youngster of what he did for the Bulls in the '90s.
