After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, UNC football program pass rusher Kaimon Rucker has signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

Had it not been for the cheap shot suffered at the hands of NC State that resulted in a broken fibula, Rucker would have surely been drafted in the later rounds. Despite missing the four of the first five games with a lower body injury, Rucker stormed to a six-sack season in his final year in Chapel Hill.

The Butcher finished his illustrious Tar Heel career with 22 sacks, 180 tackles, and four forced fumbles (with one recovered!) Despite being undersized for a lineman, Rucker created havoc in the backfield whether playing at outside linebacker or with a hand in the dirt.

Baltimore runs a base 3-4 defense, so Rucker will likely try to win an outside linebacker spot on the roster. He'll likely have to earn his stripes on special teams first, as the Ravens have Kyle Van Noy and David Ojabo in front of him. Rucker's first order of business will be getting healthy and up to a level of performance to earn a permanent roster spot.

Tar Heel fans who watched the Butcher for five years can attest to the fact that if healthy, Kaimon Rucker can absolutely be a difference maker on an NFL roster.
